Epic poem, in style of Hiawatha, telling of meeting of Hernando de Soto with the Red Men of Arkansas and Oklahoma. ; Henry Coffin Fellow (1856-1948) PhD, once called the Cowboy Poet of Oklahoma, was professor of literature at University of Kansas, Wichita. ; Covers worn, many small edge chips. Cord frayed at ends otherwise intact. Owner name penned on front but quite faded. Interior clean and unmarked apart from autograph. Scarce in any condition.
