Foreword by Theodore Weicker. ; Fascinating guide to collection of 15th- to 19th-century pharmaceutical apparatus including antique glass jars with alchemical symbols, mortars of bronze and marble, ornate porcelain containers, medieval manuscripts, etc, etc. ; Edges show a touch of foxing. Lettering is bright on spine, a bit duller on front, but quite readable. Former owner (Roland T. Lakey, noted chemist, researcher and dean, College of Pharmacy, Wayne State University, Detroit) signed and dated 3/25/40 on front endpaper in fountain pen. No other defects. Scarce.
