This is a small oblong advertisingslip (4.5 x 2.6 inches) 114 x 66 mm, imprinted with the prescription symbol Rx, brand name Colgate's, Ribbon Dental Cream, Antiseptic Dental Powder, Liquodent, and a blank to add a name followed by DDS. The reverse is unprinted. This is not a card; it is on ordinary paper. ; The William Colgate Company was founded in 1806. Ribbon Dental Cream was invented in 1896. The company was bought out and became Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Company in 1928. This item was found inside a medical book dated 1892. No date but we estimate 1896-1906. ; No marks, no defects. We have placed it in a polyvinyl sleeve for protection.
