528 pages; 4to (11.5") 30 cm; Tall thick softcover, brown covers, 528 pages printed one side only (264 pages of text) with list of faculty, etc, 40 b/w diagrams including bandages, oxygen tent, surgical dressing cart, Harper Hospital site plan. Everything printed by mimeograph, bound by two large binder rings, as issued. ; Published for students at Harper Hospital School of Nursing, Detroit, Michigan. Harper was found in 1863; its nursing school in 1883. This item is dated 1943 except some pages are dated 1946 or 1948. ; Topics include: charting, medical prefixes and suffixes, blood pressure procedure, administration of medicine by mouth, isolation, give and remove bedpan, collection of specimens, thoracentesis, much more. ; Covers, which are unprinted, are edgeworn and reinforcements are present on covers and on six leaves. Interior has only two small marks. Some pages are slightly wider than others and show more edgewear. Scarce in any condition. ; Laid in: two small notebooks, with student's name and notes penned in, plus 4 quizzes, printed by mimeograph, all filled in, dated 1948.
