239 pages; 24mo (6") 15 cm; Small hardcover, original full tan calf leather, gilt title over black spine label, 239 pages, footnotes. ; Memoir of travels to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) , Madras, Mysore, Bombay, and other locales in India; the great famine of India; meetings with Mohamed Ally Khan and other luminaries in the years 1812-1815; excursion with Sir Walter Scott in 1831. ; This is NOT a flimsy overpriced print-on-demand but an actual book from 1845. ; We have graded this item Fair. Quite worn. Both joints sprung, boards holding on by threads. Lower third of title page missing. Otherwise everything is present and readable. Quite scarce. Sold as is.
