Knickerbacker (1824-1884) travelled almost nonstop over southern Michigan and Ontario, preaching, performing funerals and weddings for all who asked, including many not of his denomination. He organized two new congregations in Ontario (Olinda, Blenheim) and at least 10 in Michigan.
