Author names given in index. No tunes. ; Originally published 1829. This is 5th edition (5th printing) stated, 1832. Published by Boston: Marsh, Capen & Lyon. ; The Rev. Sebastian Streeter (1783-1867) and his brother, the Rev. Russell Streeter (1791-1880) were well-known Universalist preachers, newspaper editor-publishers and hymnwriters of the early 19th century. ; Book shows moderate wear to extremities. Gilt sharp and readable. Light foxing throughout. Main defect: endpapers are marked with owner name, name of an historical society, and some juvenile scribbles, all in old ink. Interior clean, everything readable. Binding tight. Scarce.
