Written by Agnes G. Deans, Anne L. Austin, and committee. Committee chair Alice H. Walker. Foreword by Annie W. Goodrich. Additional material by Lystra E. Gretter and Frances B. Latimer. Photos by Nancy E. Haight, Sophia L. Rutley and others. ; Founded in Detroit in 1883 as adjunct to Harper Hospital, Farrand (named for Detroit surgeon David Osborn Farrand) was among first schools established for training nurses in US. ; Very light exterior wear. On front endpaper in fountain pen: 'Sept. 10, 1951 To Veronica Bancher on this extra special day. Good Luck, Virginia Raymus, Your Big Sister.' No other marks. Main defect is slight waviness to upper edges of textblock. All pages turn, everything is readable. Binding tight. Extremely scarce in any condition. ; Item laid in: very small card printed with blanks for patient's name, drug, dose, etc, with code indicating 1972.
