This is an early reprint, 1904. Complete subtitle: 'Illustrated with Photographs by the Hampton Institute Camera Club and Decorations by Margaret Armstrong.' ; Wonderful African American dialect poems by the great Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872-1906) a celebrated African American novelist and playwright. Poems are: Dinah kneading dough. Dat ol' mare o' mine. Spring wooing. The old front gate. Fishin'. When dey listed colored soldiers. Lullaby. Song of summer. At candle-lightin' time. ; Cloth lightly sunned, with visible flaking of color. Boards are slightly bowed. Front endpaper has antique book label and gift note dated 1906 in a neat hand. Rear endpaper has small old bookdealer code in fountain pen. No other marks. Gilt is bright and sharp. Binding tight.
