Some entries from famous poets, some obscure, some anonymous; many are song lyrics but there are no tunes. ; 'A gallimaufry of ballads, lyrics and songs, of soldiers, sailors, cowboys, tough men and wanton women, gin, sin and debauchery.' ; Boards show soiling around edges. Owner name, address, and date penned on front endpaper in old ink. A few small spots to pages. Everything readable. Binding tight.
