This item has no date but is marked 1898. ; Dinah Maria Mulock Craik (1826-1887) usually known as Miss Mulock or Mrs Craik, was an English novelist most famous for the book John Halifax, Gentleman; she also wrote travel books and poetry and espoused Universalist values. ; Book shows only very minor shelfwear. Front endpaper has gift note in pencil in a heavy hand dated 1898. A few small spots here and there. Binding tight.
