Places and illustrations include: Mali and a Dogon house. Nigeria and a Hausa dwelling. Cameroon and a Bafut square house. Sudan and a Korongo homestead. Rhodesia and a Mashona village. Swaziland and a Swazi indlu. Map, which is larger than plates, has two small edge-tears and creases, not affecting text.
