64 pages; 24mo (5") 13 cm; Small oblong hardcover (7 x 5 inches) 18 x 13 cm, umber-gray faux snakeskin boards bound with cord as issued, silver title on front, gorgeous white endpapers with gilt patterns, 64 unnumbered pages printed one-side only, 35 b/w photogravures (photos) of sights, including islands, coves, mansions, clubhouses, hotels, paddlewheel boats, etc, with captions. ; 'Scattered in prodigal profusion along the noble St. Lawrence River [on the border between Ontario and New York state] are the island gems, more than 1800 in number, known collectively as the Thousand Islands.' ; This is an actual souvenir book from 1896, not a flimsy overpriced print-on-demand atrocity. ; Very light edgewear. Small spot to front cover. Small crease to tip of one leaf, not affecting photo. Owner name and city stamped on title page, and owner also penned 'No-305' on same, in fountain pen. No other marks. Binding tight. Quite scarce in any condition.
