187 pages; Oblong 8vo (8.75") 23 cm; Oblong hardcover, green cloth, 187 pages, endpaper map of a segment of the old Detroit-Howell Plank Road where Botsford Inn was once a major stopping place, index, bibliography, chapter endnotes, appendix, 64 b/w photos in text. ; Published with cooperation of Farmington Hills Historical Commission. Until it closed in 2001, this was Michigan's oldest operating tavern, founded 1836, a favorite haunt of Henry Ford. (As of 2017, small part of building yet stands, occupied by Botsford Hospital) ; Almost no wear. Upper corners of last few pages slightly wavy, with faint dampstain affecting part of rear board. Everything readable. Otherwise no marks or flaws of any kind. Lacks jacket ; Item laid in: photocopy of old map of Farmington Township, dated 1921, showing old Detroit-Howell Plank Road (now Grand River Ave)
