No additional printings. Illustrations by Frank Thayer Merrill, engraved by John Andrew & Son. ; Picturesque novel of life in a New England mill town, with woman protagonist, authored by longtime assistant editor of Arthur's Home Magazine. ; Moderate exterior wear, mainly to lower tips. Pages a bit yellowed from age. 8 leaves creased at upper tips, not affecting text. Owner name and address penned in small, fine letters on front endpaper, dated 1871. Title page lightly foxed. No other marks. Binding tight. Overall quite attractive. Scarce.
