Lansing, Mich: 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry 1896 Non-Book Very Good 
Pale ivory-white ribbon with black lettering and red decor, measuring (1.9 x 7 inches) 49 x 178 mm. The 22nd Michigan Infantry Regiment was mustered in 1862 and saw action in the US Civil War, including at Chickamauga, Kennesaw Mountain, Siege of Atlanta, and Battle of Jonesboro. This ribbon is from 1896 and states 29th Annual Reunion, Flushing, Michigan. ; This wonderful old item dates back to the days when ribbons were printed as souvenirs or membership badges for events. ; Fragile (we have placed it in a clear polyvinyl sleeve for protection). Small amount of fraying to each end, as usual, otherwise intact. No creases, no wrinkles, no tears. Extremely rare.

Exterior cloth is missing, except for spine, showing white boards. Title neatly misspelled in ballpoint on front board, vintage bookseller stamp on same. One plate has small scar and closed tear but illustrations not affected. One leaf missing (part of table of contents) and also Plate 1 is missing. No other missing pages or plates. Binding incredibly still intact. Sold as is.

Owner penned 9-2-50, oldprice and name on title page in a small hand in fountain pen. Light foxing here and there. 1 page has two sentences underlined. No other marks. 1 leaf has small chjip to upper edge due to being opened too quickly, not affecting any text. Distributor placed its sticker on lower front jacket, and stamped its name on lower part of title page, both at time of publication. Binding tight. This edition quite scarce.
