Tangy tartar sauce. Mrs Scribner's Texas hash. Apples a la Vernor. Wassail serves 40. Vanilla caramels. Peanut brittle. Filipina roll. Chocolate joy icing. Ginger ale jelly. Maude's brown bread. Oysters wrapped in bacon. Salad boquet 8 servings. Golden glow salad. Irene Pavloska's waffles. Cold water cake. Bread and butter pickles. Many more. ; We acquired this item in 2013 from the living estate sale of an elderly lady in Detroit, who said it was her mother's. There is no date but we estimate 1925. ; Condition: Worn but intact. Some pages show edgewear and discoloration from paste, but everything is readable. Binding is tight. Quite rare and certainly unique. Sold as is.

This is 4th edition, 1878. ; One of American's greatest poets, William Cullen Bryant (1794-1878) was an ardent abolitionist and free speech advocate. His first great poem was Thanatopsis, published in 1817. For 52 years he was an editor at the New York Evening Post and at one time was vice president of the National Conference of Unitarian Churches. ; Cloth has small areas of fraying at crown and lower tips. Otherwise hardly any wear. No marks, no rips, no tears. A beautiful book.

Stocking, 1881-1949. ; Not to be confused with Redford Union high school, Redford high school was situated in northwest Detroit and served students in Old Redford, Grandmont, Rosedale Park and Brightmoor; it graduated two classes per year, one in January, one in June; each class had its own colors. This yearbook is for January graduating class of 1950, yellow and navy blue. ; We have graded this item Poor. Binding is almost completely shot but center pages are holding together. All pages are present but some are photocopies, not originals. Many leaves have small edge-tears and creases but everything is readable. Many marks, names, greetings, etc, in pen and pencil. Quite scarce. Sold as is. ; Items laid in: 1) color glossy photo of photocop from 50th Anniversary Reunion. 2) four articles on champion girls swim team, with Jean McConnell's name underlined, all photocopies. 3) clipping on birth of Jean McConnell in 1931, photocopy.

This is 2nd edition, 1957. ; Words of Bau dialect of Fijian language, as taught in schools of Fiji, plus botanical words. Latin (English-language) characters throughout. ; A touch of shelfwear to bottom edge. Otherwise no signs of wear. The only notable defect is a small indentation to the front endpaper, apparently made long ago by a bookworm. No marks or scribbles. Pages are clean and crisp. Binding is tight. Appears to have never been used.
