Modern Woodmen of America was a secret society founded in 1883, somewhat similar to the masons with their secret rituals and lofty titles, but with the added element of having life insurance and banking benefits. This book was published in 1929 for members of women's camps (lodges) 'where no men are present.' ; Light edgewear. Cloth is lightly foxed. The word 'chaplain' is penciled on front endpaper in an old hand and we have left that as we found it. No other marks. Binding tight. Scarce.
