Boards chipped and soiled but readable. Owner name (Burt Clough, Marine City) penned on front endpaper, another (Miss L. C. Smith, Marine City) on title page, in very faded ink. Rear page partly missing, affecting final two songs. No interior marks. Binding intact. Quite scarce.

Henry Putney Beers was a noted historian, bibliographer, and archivist with the National Archives and Records Service, who wrote many distinguished historical books. ; Light edgewear. Modern b/w bookplate from Dearborn Historical Museum. Museum number penned on spine. Old ownership mark seared onto fore-edge twice, both are small and unreadable. Small ink smudge on one page not affecting text. No other defects. Scarce.

72 pages; 4to (12") 31 cm; Softcover, brown pictorial leatherette covers, 52 unnumbered pages, b/w photos of seniors, clubs, faculty, football and other teams. Nice memorial page for Principal William R. Stocking, 1881-1949. ; Not to be confused with Redford Union high school, Redford high school was situated in northwest Detroit and served students in Old Redford, Grandmont, Rosedale Park and Brightmoor; it graduated two classes per year, one in January, one in June; each class had its own colors. This yearbook is for January graduating class of 1950, yellow and navy blue. ; We have graded this item Poor. Binding is almost completely shot but center pages are holding together. All pages are present but some are photocopies, not originals. Many leaves have small edge-tears and creases but everything is readable. Many marks, names, greetings, etc, in pen and pencil. Quite scarce. Sold as is. ; Items laid in: 1) color glossy photo of photocop from 50th Anniversary Reunion. 2) four articles on champion girls swim team, with Jean McConnell's name underlined, all photocopies. 3) clipping on birth of Jean McConnell in 1931, photocopy.
