Gift note in fountain pen dated 1903 on front blank page. A few small spots to rear cover. Otherwise only minor wear. Rare in any condition.

We estimate this item about 1915.; Exterior shows moderate rubbing and wear, mainly on rear cover. All rings function and are aligned correctly. No photos. No marks. Rare and quite attractive.

Pink limp leatherette covers lined inside with soft fleecy tan cloth, white lettering on front, rounded corners, 8 pages, upon each page is affixed a small real-cloth cocktail napkin imprinted with a gag magazine cover with a risque pin-up style illustration in green and black, all spoofs of real magazines. ; Which are: Cocktail Time. American Home. Police Gazette. Outdoor Life. Peek-a-Boo. Take-a-Look. Life. Esquire's. ; Certainly these illustrations were quite racy in their day. ; Only very light shelfwear. All pages are clean and intact, except first and last are a bit tanned from being against covers. All napkins have trimmed and sewn edges, as issued, are intact, still attached to their pages. Binding of two staples is tight. Quite rare. We have hunted for any further information on this item and found none.

Tangy tartar sauce. Mrs Scribner's Texas hash. Apples a la Vernor. Wassail serves 40. Vanilla caramels. Peanut brittle. Filipina roll. Chocolate joy icing. Ginger ale jelly. Maude's brown bread. Oysters wrapped in bacon. Salad boquet 8 servings. Golden glow salad. Irene Pavloska's waffles. Cold water cake. Bread and butter pickles. Many more. ; We acquired this item in 2013 from the living estate sale of an elderly lady in Detroit, who said it was her mother's.
